From Europe with Heat…

A Brit who’s worked all over Europe, Rebecca Fairfax writes m/f contemporary, m/f/m paranormal, and m/m paranormal, all with a UK or European setting. Her 1960s m/m bandfic series, the Maze, will release in 2019—and she’s ridiculously excited about it!
2018 saw the launch of her first urban fantasy series, the Demons of Oxford, under her Kara Silver pen name.

Rebecca’s better known as an editor, with both US and UK qualifications, having content and copy-edited erotic and romantic fiction for Loose Id, Ellora’s Cave and now the Totally Entwined Group, and nonfiction for the Literary Consultancy.

As a Sassy Girl Book Expo staffer, I’m looking forward to helping authors with developmental editing—reading the start of your book to work with you on your story and story arcs, characters and character arcs, structure and pacing, and your narrative voice.

A former English language and literature and EFL and ESL teacher, I’m also excited about teaching authors how to self-edit. This includes such delights as putting those darn misplaced modifiers in their correct places, slapping at those wandering body parts, turning off the filters between the reader and the story, and rounding up those pesky comma splices.

Oh, and I even like writing blurbs, and I bet I can teach you to enjoy it too!
